Online Safety at Guiseley Primary School

At Guiseley Primary School we place great emphasis on our children's ability to be aware of the potential risks of ICT use. These risks include privacy breaches, sharing information with other people, bullying and exposure to people who may use ICT to exploit or endanger children. .

In classrooms, we use a range of Digital Citizenship lessons designed by Common Sense Education to teach Online Safety in KS1 and KS2. The lessons help our children to learn about being safe, responsible and respectful as they navigate the digital world. Children in Early Years (Nursery and Reception) will be exposed to basic themes of online safety as they explore the world around them and begin to learn how technology is an everyday part of their learning and understanding of the world.
