Autumn Term 2 2024/2025
This half term saw the introduction of a topic called 'Our restless Earth' which took an in depth look into the world of tectonic plates and volcanoes. The children also loved getting stuck into this term's class novel 'Holes' by Louis Sachar and spent time creating newspaper reports detailing the arrest and sentencing of the book's main character Stanley Yelnats. As well as learning to play handball, another highlight was dissecting hearts as part of our science topic: the circulatory system. Have a look at the photos... if you dare. We finished the term off in festive style with our Year 5 and 6 carol concert at St Oswald's Church.

The children have had a very busy half term getting to know their Reception buddies, doing their first practice SATs, Turquoise class had their class assembly, we had Art Week and finally this week we had our exciting World War 2 evacuee day! Take a look at the pictures below!
