Safeguarding - Designated Safeguarding Lead - Anna Bradbury
Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility:
Guiseley Primary School is committed to ensuring that safeguarding is the school's highest priority.
In our recent Ofsted Inspection (June 2023) our safeguarding was found to be effective.
We expect all staff, volunteers and visitors to share this commitment. Photographs and videos of children is not permitted without prior permission from the headteacher.
If you are concerned about the safety of any student in our school, you must report this to our safeguarding team.
You can do this by completing a Cause for Concern form. These are located in the red folders in every classroom and at the school office. Once complete, please hand this directly to a member of the safeguarding team.
Our school staff and governors have up to date training to ensure that our safeguarding is effective.

What is SEND ?
Any child with barriers to learning may have Special Educational Needs. These fall into 4 broad categories.
Cognition and Learning
Communication and Language
Social Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
Sensory and or Physical Needs
If you feel that your child may have barriers to learning under any of these categories, please contact school where it can be discussed confidentially with an appropriate member of staff.
Pupils with Disabilities
No discrimination is made against any child being admitted to school with a disability. Parents are requested to inform school of any disability known to them, which their child may experience, so appropriate facilities can be provided to assist access to the school and the curriculum.
Children with disabilities will participate in all everyday activities of which they are capable, and will not be treated less favourably than other pupils.
If you feel that your child may have a problem, please contact school where it can be discussed confidentially with an appropriate member of staff.
